Why This Stop Promises to Be Historic
Organizers expect a record turnout. The series' previous stop in July (at Casino Partouche de Pornic) clearly showed the interest in the format: the Main Event with a 250 euro buy-in attracted 465 entries, forming a prize pool of 93,744 euros. Frenchman Thierry Finot took the victory and received 16,000 euros, proving that a modest buy-in can yield significant dividends.
The scale of Casino Barcelona provides all the conditions for new records. Immediately after its Catalan debut, the EuroPoker Circuit will head to Paris (September 29 - October 4), and the year will conclude with final events in a second Spanish location and Portugal. Barcelona will be the starting point for a new era of the EPC.
